I Ship Groceries To My Daughter In College

As a mother, I have always dreaded the day I have to send my kids off to college. This year I said goodbye to my first child as my oldest daughter left for school. It kills me that she had to choose an out of state university to fill her educational needs. It kills me even more that I wont physically be there to nurture her through this experience.

I have, however, found my niche to make myself visible in her everyday life. I have chosen to delivery her groceries biweekly right to her house. This takes so much stress off of me just knowing that she has food in the fridge and is eating right. Of course I am sending quality food and healthy food. There are nation wide grocery delivery businesses that enable me to order from our home state (Texas) and deliver to her apartment in New York. All I do is place the order online and they call my daughter to set up an ideal delivery time for her.

Another great feature about the delivery system is they offer specials monthly with different deals. Last month they had two for one deals. Every time I want to resend my order and just have to call. I became a member so all my order information is saved and I dont have to go through the hassle of finding the products again and putting them in my cart. Sometimes Ill go in and switch up the order but I tend to send her the same core group of groceries. They have an entire organic section filled with healthy foods.

Anyway, Im glad I can help my daughter while she is off to college. I just hate knowing that one day all of my kids will be grown up and out of the house!
